Embedding a Figma file into Typeset
In order to embed a Figma file or prototype in Typeset, the file needs to be viewable by anyone with the sharing link. Open the file in Figma, click the Share button, and ensure that Anyone with the link can view is enabled.
Then, copy the shareable Figma link and navigate to Typeset. In the Typeset editor, start a new line and type "/figma" to create a Figma component.
Once the Figma component is created, paste the Figma link after the prompt.
The file should appear immediately when viewing your document in presentation mode.
Troubleshooting
Ensure the Prototype is Viewable
In order to embed a Figma file or prototype in Typeset, the file needs to be viewable by anyone with the sharing link. Open the file in Figma, click the Share button, and ensure that Anyone with the link can view is enabled.
Switch Web Browsers
In some instances, embeds in Figma are blocked by existing login information in Figma.
Try viewing the presentation in a different browser entirely, or using your browser's private/incognito mode. Clearing your cache/cookies often helps with this type of issue as well.
Safari: Enable Cross-Site Tracking
When cross-site tracking is disabled in Safari, the browser could end up blocking the Figma prototype from being loaded properly. In that case, you can try allowing cross-site tracking in your Safari browser by going to Safari > Preferences > Privacy as shown below, and uncheck the box that prevents cross-site tracking.
