Managing Text, Media, and Layouts in Typeset

The Typeset Project Editor provides powerful tools for customizing every element of your content. From adjusting text styles and alignment to managing images and page visibility, this guide covers essential features that help you create professional, visually consistent, and dynamic projects.

1. Changing Text Color with In-line Color!

You can select and customize text color for any specific text element within a page.

How to Change Text Color

  1. Highlight the text you’d like to change.

  2. Click the Text Color icon in the top toolbar.

Use this feature to emphasize headings, callouts, or key messages with brand-aligned color accents.

2. Adjusting Text Alignment

Control how text appears within your layout by setting alignment preferences.

To Change Alignment

  1. Click the Component Settings (⚙️) icon next to a text element.

  2. Choose between Left, Center, Right, or Justified alignment.

3. Supporting Right-to-Left (RTL) Languages

Typeset supports right-to-left text alignment for languages such as Arabic, Aramaic, Hebrew, and Urdu.

  2. Choose Customize.

  3. Scroll to Internationalization.

  4. Toggle Enable Right-to-Left Text Alignment.

Once enabled, the text direction and alignment automatically adjust for RTL languages, ensuring correct readability and formatting.

4. Managing Images

Images are intelligently placed based on layout and file type. Typeset automatically determines whether to crop or fully display an image for the best fit.

Manually Adjusting Image Size

  1. Click the Image icon in the editor toolbar.

  2. In the new menu adjsut the slider up or down to adjsut the image size!

This setting ensures images like logos, screenshots, or diagrams remain fully visible.

  2. Toggle “Do Not Crop” to prevent automatic cropping.

This setting ensures images like logos, screenshots, or diagrams remain fully visible.

Changing the Visible Area of an Image

  2. Click the ✥ (Adjust Focal Point) button in the top-left corner.

  3. Drag the image to reposition it within the frame.

  4. Click the checkmark to confirm the new position.

To reset the image, click the center (target) icon next to the checkmark.

Note: If an image is square or fully visible, the focal adjustment button may not appear.

5. Hiding and Managing Pages

Hiding pages allows you to manage visibility for editing, presentations, and exports — ideal for internal notes, alternate versions, or draft sections.

Things to Know

When a page is hidden:

  • It is not displayed in Presentation Mode.

  • It cannot be exported in downloaded formats.

  • It cannot be used as a document cover page.

How to Hide or Unhide a Page

  1. In the Editor Panel (left side), hover over the desired page.

  2. Click the Gear Icon (⚙️).

  3. Select “Hide Page.”

When hidden:

  • The page thumbnail in the left panel becomes striped.

  • The corresponding page in the editor view will appear dimmed.

To unhide, repeat the same steps and select “Show Page.”

Hidden Pages and Exporting

During export, hidden pages are shown with a blocked icon and will not be included in the downloaded document. This is intentional and helps preserve privacy for draft or internal pages.

Hidden Pages and Cover Pages

Hidden pages cannot be used as cover pages. If selected, a blocked symbol will indicate that the page is unavailable for that function.

6. Best Practices

  • Use text colors strategically for emphasis and brand consistency.

  • Keep alignment uniform across sections for a clean visual structure.

  • Enable RTL support when creating multilingual content.

  • Always review image positioning to maintain composition quality.

  • Hide pages to focus on active sections or restrict visibility during review stages.
