Quickly find and manage all of your orders right inside of SamCart.
SamCart makes running the back-end of your business as simple as a few clicks. Let's dive into how to manage Customer Orders.
To locate any Order, hover your mouse over the left hand banner and click on the Orders option.
The Orders page by default will show all data for the last 30. days. You can use the date picker (1) to see data for specific timeline, or use the search bar (2) to look up an individual order by name, email, or order id number.
The date picker will apply to all the data on your Orders page, including the Orders cards. Click on any of the Order Cards at the top of the page for information on how that number is being calculated.
When searching for an order, once you have found the order you need, from the Orders page itself, you can use Quick Actions to quickly perform popular order management. Click on the three dots in an order's row to access the available Quick Actions:
The available quick actions will differ depending on if the product is a one time payment product or a subscription.
For one time payment products the quick actions available are:
- Resend Order Receipt - send your customers their Order Receipt Email, containing a fresh Digital Download link if selling a digital product
- Add to Order - charge your customer for an additional Product. For more information on add to order, visit our Add to Order Knowledge Base article.
- Full Refund - refund of all products associated with that specific order. This button will prompt a refund pop-up confirming the refund. The red refund button in the pop-up will show the total refund price.
If you are on a Grow or Scale plan and wish to offer a Partial Refund, scroll down to the Additional Order Information for more information on providing a partial refunds.
For subscription (limited or recurring) products the quick actions available are:
- Update Credit Card
- Send Customer Hub Login
- Cancel Subscription (for active subscriptions)
- Restart Subscriptions (for cancelled subscriptions - this action will charge your customer the initial charge immediately
- Payoff Subscription - only available for Limited Subscription

Additional Order Information
You can find additional order management actions as well as information inside the full Order page. To access the full Order page click on the Order ID
- Click Resend Receipt to send your customers their Order Receipt Email, containing a fresh Digital Download link if applicable
- Click the Add to Order button to charge your customer for an additional Product.
- Click Refund Full Order to bring up a pop up to confirm a refund of all products associated with that specific order
- Click on Print to print or download that specific orders information as a PDF
- Click the Pencil icon to edit your customer’s details, correct typos, and edit addresses.
- Click on Add an Affiliate to manually associate an affiliate to that order
- Click on Comments to add internal notes to your orders that other users in your account can see
- Click the hyperlinked product's name to take you directly to your product details tab to make edits
- Click on the Refund button to refund individual line items. If you are on Grow or Scale, this refund pop up will include the option to offer a partial refund. For more information on Partial Refunds, visit our Partial Refund article here.
One important note concerning refunds is that PayPal refunds can only be issued within 180 days of the purchase.
Exporting Orders
You can export your orders anytime by clicking on the Export button in the right-hand corner of your orders table.
Click on Export button to launch the pop-up to finalize your export:
Click on the Email Report button and your download will be sent to the email address you entered. For more information on exporting reports, visit the Export Orders Knowledge Base article here.
Charges, Failed Charges, and Refunds
On the orders page, you can also check out additional information on your orders by visiting the Charges, Failed Charges, and Refunds tabs.
The Charges tab will show information such as charge date and type of subscription.
The Failed Charges tab will show information related to a failed subscription charge, failed new purchase or failed add to order. For example, if a subscription charge didn't renew due to insufficient funds, you'd see that in the Error Message column.

The refunds tab will show customers who were refunded, the date of the refund, the order and product associated with the refund as well as the refund total.
